2026 Idaho 4th of July Honor Marching Band & Color Guard

The 2026 Honor marching Band and Color Guard is under the direction of Boise State’s Professor Phil Hartman with special guest conductor from Boise State, Dr. Joseph Tornello, Director of Athletic Bands and All-Campus Concert Band.  Music will be an original composition by Boise State’s Dr. Myron Peterson. 

Requirements: 

Open to current High School and College level musicians and guard members.

Marching experience required. 

Must have experience on the instrument you will play in this group.  (This isn’t the venue to switch from bass drum to snare line or try to toss a rifle, having not had formal training) 

Rehearsals will be 6:30 pm-9:00pm and held in the Centennial High School Band Room 12400 W McMillan Rd Boise, Idaho 83713

Must be able to attend all rehearsals. 

  • Tuesday June 23rd (Guard & Percussion only) 

  • Thursday June 25th Full Band & Guard 

  • Monday June 29th Full Band & Guard

  • Thursday July 2nd Full Band & Guard 

  • Performance Saturday July 4th

Free shirt and hat provided.
