2026 July 4th Honor Marching Band & Color Guard Parade Information
Parade Date: 7/4/2026
Arrival Time: 8:30AM at the Morrison Center parking lot on the campus of BSU
Member Parking: Parking is free for marching members in the Brady Parking Garage. You must complete the registration form to ensure you are not ticketed or towed. Register your vehicle here: https://www.offstreet.io/events/YQP0S2CL
Assembly Location: Morrison Center parking lot. See attached map.
Our assembly position: #28 Meet there no later than 9:00 AM
Parade Start Time: 10AM Sharp
Parade route: The Parade will step off from Cesar Chavez/Freedom Dr and turn North on Capitol BLVD. In front of the Capitol, the parade will take the left spoke and turn left on Jefferson. Once the parade reaches 8th St, the parade is finished.
Parade End: The parade has ended once you reach 8th St. Jefferson will be closed until 9th St
What to wear: Band wears Khaki shorts or pants with provided band shirt and white hat. Color Guard wears black shorts or leggings with provided band shirt. Be sure to wear comfortable, good shoes for marching.
(Shirts and hats will be handed out Thursday’s rehearsal July 2nd)
Do not bring anything to the staging area that you aren’t planning to march with.
Water will be provided before, during, and at the end of the route.
The percussion and guard truck will be located at the end of the parade route. Color Guard and percussion need to load the truck prior to dispersing.
Returning to the beginning of the parade route will be up to the individual. The parade committee is working on shuttles or buses but at this time, there is no transporation confirmed.
